The classic root<\/h2>\n

A crowned figure sits between two pillars holding a sword in one hand and a balance in the other. The sword is not there to threaten; it cuts confusion into parts that can be weighed. And unlike modern statues, this Justice wears no blindfold. She looks straight at you. The classic scene insists on that: honest weighing is not blind; it sees everything and weighs it anyway.<\/p>\n

The essence: balance through truth; every action has weight and consequence.<\/em><\/p>\n

Light:<\/em> clarity, fairness, responsibility, a just decision. Shadow:<\/em> harsh judgment of self or others, dishonesty, refusing the consequences of what was chosen.<\/p>\n

One curiosity worth knowing: Waite moved this card. Justice is XI here and VIII in the Marseille deck, where it trades places with Strength<\/a>. The archetype did not change; the order around it did.<\/p>\n

Through the worlds<\/h2>\n

In the Inner Alchemy Tarot<\/a>, this card becomes The Just Measure<\/strong>: the exact weighing of substances at the laboratory bench. One grain too much and the mixture spoils. The Just Measure asks for honesty before comfort: weigh what was real, not only what was lost.<\/p>\n

In the Inner Forest Tarot<\/a>, it becomes The Web<\/strong>: the spider’s wheel of silk between two trees. Pull one thread and every other thread feels it. Forest justice isn’t a courtroom; it’s an ecosystem: everything you do travels the strands and comes back along them.<\/p>\n

In The Light Heart Tarot<\/a>, our Egyptian-inspired deck, Justice becomes The Weighing of the Heart<\/strong>. The ancient image belongs to a scene of judgment: the heart is weighed against the feather of Maat, and the outcome carries consequences in the afterlife. Here the scale is not a threat but a mirror for conscience, and the question it asks is what honesty would make the heart lighter.<\/p>\n

In a reading<\/h2>\n

In The Blind Spot<\/em>, Justice may point to a consequence being left out of the story. In The Mirror<\/em>, it asks what can be weighed honestly, including responsibility where it truly belongs. In The Next Step<\/em>, it may suggest a proportionate adjustment: an apology, a boundary, a debt addressed, or a truth spoken.<\/p>\n
