Symbolic language
A tarot deck has 78 cards. Each card is an image with a symbolic meaning. The point is not that the card "knows" your future. The point is that symbols speak to parts of us that ordinary explanations often miss.

The 78-card structure
The 22 Major Arcana represent the big themes of human experience: beginning, desire, choice, discipline, crisis, surrender, renewal, integration, and transformation.
One useful way to understand them is as a symbolic path. The classic sequence begins with The Fool, the innocent step into the unknown, and moves through the major thresholds of the human journey until The World, the image of completion and integration.
In simple terms: Major Arcana cards tend to show the bigger chapter.
The 56 Minor Arcana bring the reading closer to everyday life. Minor does not mean unimportant. It means closer to the texture of daily life.
These cards often show the atmosphere, habit, reaction, or practical movement inside the situation.
Classic suits
Emotions, relationships, memory, intuition, and the movement of feeling.
Body, work, resources, time, and what becomes real through practice.
Mind, speech, truth, conflict, and the thoughts that can clarify or wound.
Action, desire, creativity, courage, and the energy that moves life forward.
Different PlayTarot decks can dress these same classic suits in different symbolic worlds. Cups may become Waters in one deck and River in another. Pentacles may become Salt, Seeds, Stone, or another image of earth and material life. The surface changes, but the archetypal base remains readable.
Classic and transmuted names
Every authorial deck in PlayTarot begins from the classic 78-card Rider–Waite–Smith structure. The classic card is the root. The transmuted card is the poetic translation.
That is why the game shows both names together: the original tarot reference and the transmuted card title. A card like Five of Cups may appear beside a deck-specific name such as The Spilled Vessel. The classic name gives orientation; the transmuted name gives atmosphere, story, and emotional precision.
Reading method
Tarot becomes useful when three things meet:
The question gives the reading a center.
The spread gives each card a job.
The story connects the cards so they do not remain isolated meanings.
The cards do not replace your judgment. They organize reflection.

What am I not seeing about this situation?
What is this asking me to understand?
What pattern am I repeating here?
What part of me needs attention now?
What is the next honest step I can take?
Good questions do not hand your power away. They bring your attention back to where your power actually lives: perception, choice, and action.
Responsible use
Tarot can help you slow down, name a pattern, see a hidden tension, explore a decision, and find a more conscious next step.
Tarot cannot live your life for you. It should not replace medical, legal, financial, or psychological support when those are needed. It should not be used to avoid responsibility, control another person, or outsource your own judgment.
