Like every PlayTarot deck, Inner Forest is built on the classic Rider-Waite-Smith structure: the same 78 archetypes, card for card. The root stays readable: every card shows its classic name beside its forest name, so you always know where you are. What changes is the world.
The Fool becomes The Cub’s Leap: the jaguar cub’s first jump, all trust and no résumé. The Hanged Man becomes The Sloth, the forest’s master of sacred pause. The Devil becomes The Strangler Fig, the embrace that slowly becomes a cage. And The World becomes The Great Flight: the canopy seen from above, whole.
The four suits of the forest
The River carries the domain of Cups: emotion, memory, the water that connects everything it touches. The Brazil Nut carries Pentacles: body, work, patience. It is the tree that feeds generations. The Harpy carries Swords: the mind’s high, precise sight, and its talons. The Jaguar carries Wands: desire, courage, the fire that moves through the undergrowth.
The court walks the same path in forest terms: Curumim (the child-apprentice), Pathfinder, Herbalist, and Guardian, standing for curiosity, movement, inner mastery, and stewardship.
Who this world is for
Choose Inner Forest for questions about cycles and regeneration. It can help you reflect on burnout and recovery, what is growing back, and the season you are in.
